Just met a new blogger, a young missionary in Czech Republic. So far, what he has written is great reading. Thought you’d enjoy taking a peek and wishing him well. Here he is:

Divine Addiction
I don’t think it’s a very big secret that I love coffee.
Like for real, I have a serious love affair with caffeinated beverages, hot or cold. Whenever I go into a coffee shop, I have a routine.
I myself am a barista, so I already know the best way to prepare these beverages, but I must decide what the flavor combination will be, so I stare at the board, pretending to make a decision based off of what I see there, but what I am really doing is having a discussion with my taste buds and trying to negotiate a compromise between their opposing demands.
Finally, when we all come to a conclusion, I then scan the pastries to decide what would best go with that drink. (The pastries I see may or may not affect the treaty that my taste buds and I have signed.) Once that has all happened, I lay this request at the mercy of the barista behind the register, pay for my order (including a tip; if you want a good drink, you MUST tip) and then find the place that I want to hunker down and celebrate this magnificent creation I am about to receive.
Crazy, right?

Okay, friends, GO HERE to read the rest of this great post all the way from Czech Republic. You’ll like it, I think.
Today I took my son’s iced coffee that we bought at the grocery store so there was no ice in it. I poured it over ice then drizzled chocolate syrup over that… than topped it off with whipped cream and stuck a straw in it. Both Ezra and I loved it.
You are making me thirsty! 😀
Did you click on the link and read the rest of the post? I hope! 😉
welcome here in Kenya and drink some more tea
Ha ha! What type of tea do you prefer, Sir? Have you tried Roibos?
I skimmed Katherine. I am a Latter Day Saint and we don’t drink coffee, because it is hot. I have decided that if it is iced it is ok.
You know, you do NOT have to read every post that appears here! 🙂
I used to have an acquaintance, long, long ago, who was LDS. She told me they didn’t drink coffee because it was addictive. But they did use chocolate, which also is addictive.
Hmm. I’ll never understand a religion that is only rules. Gotta have Jesus. Just have to, or I’m no good. 😐
Honestly I do not think that I have heard before that it is because it is addictive. Maybe she knows something I don’t know.
Ah, Just give me Jesus! 🙂
I think that he is coming. Do you? We have this hurricane Sandy that might hit us along the east coast this weekend.
I do not have to think He is coming. I know He is coming. Again.
But it won’t be in anything as slow as a hurricane.
He will come like lightning that flashes from the west to the east, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye.
Well, my Irish twin sons they are 7 and 8 years old. They were both born on July 2 … one year apart. They are both still very young and all of their friends at school. I would like for them to have a good life. I have not even gotten married yet or been a home owner or owned my own riding lawn mower. I am 37 years old. I have never had a honeymoon. I think that Christ will just make things better.
It’s really, really important to know what He SAID He would do. That is what He will do.
Amen
There is a movie director… Ray Prado… and his wife Gesine is famous for her baking. They used to have a bakery acrossed town from me called Gesine’s and he can make those artistic designs in the swirls with the foam or whatever.
Thanks, Jessica!
Coffee! Yes, it keeps the body working when it would rather not.
So thankful for coffee! 🙂
I followed the link and wow! what a read. It hit home, especially in the quiet time. I fear I have allowed too many things to interfere with my own quiet time. I noticed his comments were closed, so I’ll leave the comment here that I would’ve left there, which is this: “Thank you for speaking to an area I need to address!!”
Thanks, Lubby Girl! My sentiments, exactly! 🙂
