I am happy with my inexpensive Dell laptop. My last one, the kids broke . . .It was around $450 and has what I need.

My son ordered me a reconditioned ASUS, with Windows 8. It came with all kinds of warranties, and I really love it. I don’t know what he paid for it, sorry.
You are the 2nd to recommend ASUS. I shall be looking until I am sure (of course, we are never really sure, right?) Thanks so much for this input! 🙂

Well, my Friend, the deed is done and I am awaiting my son’s help with virus protection. Using a teensy, antique netbook, right now, but will probably join the 21st Century by mid-week. 🙂

Wow. Thanks, DiAne, for this affirming comment! I shall give it my best, if I ever get through it. I have yet to know, for sure (do we ever know, for sure?) what is going on in the heavenlies! I like the new computer, I think, but have a big problem with trying to appreciate the INternet. Ha. I will learn more, I am sure. And I will share, as best I can.
