Oh! Some day we will have chickies! I dream of the day… but it isn’t possible at the moment, so I will live vicariously for the time being!
Well, we always have our own REAL chickies under our wings, beautiful and gifts from God, the most important kind. 🙂

I love keeping a few chickens around. love home-grown eggs, etc. We have sixteen–how many do you have?
We have 5, but plan on getting more in the spring 🙂
Five is what we had, but wanted to add a few. They are such fun. People LOVE baby chicks. 🙂
That’s how we have been feeling also. We actually started with 6, but one died as a chick 😦 Now the five are grown and laying eggs. The kids want to get more, and so do my husband and I 😉
They are so worth all the frustration. I mean, they eat grain and veggie scraps, instead of wasting them, they lay eggs or else make meat, and they yield really good garden fertilizer. What’s not to love? 🙂

What kind are they
Buff Orpington. 🙂 Our adult hens have been a joy, so we got more. Lacking a rooster (‘coon attrition) we had to order more. So have the fun of chicks. 🙂
I love my Buffs! They just follow me around like a puppy. They actually seem to play at times with my dog. It’s hilarious!
