Whenever there’s a choice, I always buy American. Hard to do with electronics, but a lot of yarn, plastics, and glassware is still made here. Great post Katharine!
I try very hard to keep from buying things made in China. They just are our enemies and have proven it over and over.
I’m not opposed to picking up something from some small, poor country where the people get paid to work, however little, but in China, they just get to live another day–that is their payment. I hate buying things from there and will not do it unless I forget to look or the tag is hidden and I did not know it.
They do hide the “China” label and proudly display the USA label, don’t they!
I wonder why!
